Sunrise Alarm: Wake-Up Light

1. General Information

This Privacy Policy describes how Vireka Interactive ("we", "our", or "the company") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the mobile application Sunrise Alarm: Wake-Up Light ("the app", "the service").

Sunrise Alarm: Wake-Up Light is a smart alarm application that simulates natural sunrise to provide a more gradual and healthy wake-up experience. The app uses solar calculation algorithms and various system permissions to offer a personalized experience.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Location Data (Optional)

If you enable location services:

• GPS Location: Latitude and longitude of your device
• Purpose: Automatically calculate local sunrise times and display location name
• Storage: Coordinates stored only on your local device
• Transmission: Coordinates sent to Google geocoding services only to obtain location names

2.2 App Settings

100% local storage:

• Alarm settings (time, days, sunrise duration)
• Sound and vibration preferences
• Volume settings
• Custom music files selected by the user
• Display brightness preferences
• Background image chosen for the alarm screen (a reference to the file, never a copy sent anywhere)

2.4 Writing to Us (Optional)

The app does not send us reports of any kind. Up to version 1.4.4 it offered an optional form to tell us how the alarm test had gone; it was removed in version 1.4.5 and nothing is sent to us any more.

The only way to reach us from the app is Settings > Contact, which opens your own email app with an empty message. Nothing leaves your device until you send it yourself, we receive only what you choose to write and the address you write from, and we use it to answer you and for nothing else.

4. How We Use Data

4.1 App Functionality

• Calculate sunrise times based on your location (if you provide access)
• Schedule and trigger alarms at configured times
• Customize the wake-up experience according to your preferences
• Play custom music selected by you
• Adjust screen brightness for sunrise simulation

• We do not link usage statistics to your identity: they are anonymous and aggregate

5. Third-Party Services

5.1 Google Play Services

The app uses Google Play Services for:

• In-app purchase management
• License verification

5.2 Location Services

When you provide location access:

• Coordinate Retrieval: Performed locally via GPS/network
• Sunrise Calculations: Mathematical algorithms run locally on your device
• Coordinate to Name Conversion: Requires internet to convert lat/lng to readable city/region names
• Data Transmitted: Only geographic coordinates (no personal information)

5.3 Crash Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics)

The app uses Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to detect and diagnose crashes:

• What is sent: Technical crash reports (stack trace, device model, operating system version, app version and the moment of the failure)
• What is not sent: No alarms, audio, images, location or any content you create in the app
• Purpose: Exclusively to fix failures. An alarm that does not go off is a serious problem and these reports are what allow us to find the cause
• Handling: Subject to the Firebase privacy policy

5.4 Usage Statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)

The app includes Google Analytics for Firebase, which reports anonymous, aggregate usage data:

• What is sent: Automatic events such as app opens, session starts and screens viewed, together with device model, operating system version, app version, language and the approximate country derived from your IP address, identified by a random app instance identifier
• What is not sent: No alarms, audio, images, location or any content you create in the app, and nothing that identifies you by name, email or account
• Purpose: To know how many people use the app and how often, and to measure how advertising performs per user. We only ever see totals, never the activity of a single person
• Advertising identifier: On Android this service may also read the advertising identifier described in section 6, which you can reset or limit from your device settings at any time
• Handling: Subject to the Firebase privacy policy

5.5 Servers of Our Own (None)

The app does not contact any server of ours. Everything described above goes to Google: Play Services, the geocoding service, Crashlytics, Analytics and AdMob. Up to version 1.4.4 the optional test report was posted to a small script on one of our domains, which only forwarded it by email and never stored it. That was removed in version 1.4.5, and the app now has no address of ours to send anything to.

6. Google AdMob and Advertising

6.1 Information AdMob May Collect

• Advertising Identifier: Unique ID to show relevant ads
• Device Information: Model, OS version, screen resolution
• Interaction Data: Ad clicks, view time
• Approximate Location: Only if you have granted location permission

6.2 Ad Types

• Banner Ads: Small ads at the bottom of the screen
• Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads at specific moments
• Native Ads: Ads integrated into the layout of some settings screens

6.3 Mediation

The app does not use ad mediation. Every ad comes from Google AdMob. Up to version 1.4.4 it included the Liftoff Monetize (Vungle) adapter, which was removed in version 1.4.5: no advertising network other than Google receives data from the app.

6.4 Ad Control

• Google Settings: Go to Settings > Google > Ads
• Reset Ad ID: In the same settings section
• Opt Out: Personalized ads at google.com/settings/ads
• Premium Purchase: Removes all ads by purchasing the premium version

7. Data Storage and Security

7.1 Local Storage

• Settings: Stored on the device using Android SharedPreferences
• Audio Files: References to files, not copies of originals
• Location Data: Only temporary calculations, no permanent storage

7.2 Security Measures

• Encryption of sensitive data on the device
• Permission validation before accessing system resources
• Secure communication with Google services (HTTPS/SSL)
• No transmission of personal data to unauthorized servers

7.3 Data Retention

• Settings: Until you uninstall the app
• AdMob Data: Subject to Google policies (typically 26 months)
• Purchase Information: Retained by Google Play indefinitely

8. User Rights

8.1 Access and Control

You have the right to:

• Access: Review what settings the app stores
• Modify: Change or update your settings at any time
• Delete: Erase all data by uninstalling the app
• Limit: Deny optional permissions like location

9. License

9.1 License Grant

Vireka Interactive grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the app on your personal devices.

9.2 Usage Restrictions

You may not:

• Modify, adapt, or create derivative works from the app
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Redistribute, sublicense, rent, or transfer the app
• Use the app for unauthorized commercial purposes

• Availability: Discounted price available only for users who have already purchased "Remove Ads"

• Duration: Permanent (not a subscription)

10.2 Refund Policy

• Refunds are subject to Google Play Store policy
• Generally available within the first 48 hours
• In-app purchases are final

11. Limitation of Liability

Vireka Interactive shall not be liable for:

• Screen Damage: Prolonged use with maximum brightness
• Sleep Issues: The app does not substitute medical advice
• Alarm Failures: Operating system or hardware issues

12. Intellectual Property

12.1 Vireka Interactive Rights

All rights, titles, and interests in the app, including:

• Source code and algorithms
• Interface design and user experience
• Names, trademarks, and logos
• Test report system

12.2 User Content

You retain ownership of:

• Custom music files you select
• Personal settings and preferences

13. Minors

Sunrise Alarm is not directed to children under 13. The target audience declared on Google Play is 13 and over. The content is suitable for all ages, but the app is not designed or marketed for children.

13.1 Minor Protection

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13
• The app has no forms and asks for no personal information
• Ads are configured to be appropriate for all ages
• There are no communication features with other users

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, write to us at the address in section 16 and we will delete it.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. When we do:

• Publication: The updated version is published on this page
• Date: We will update the "Last updated" date on this page
• Significant Changes: Important changes will be described in this section so you can review them

15. iPhone and iPad (iOS)

15.1 Data Stored on Your Device

• Your alarms and settings (times, repeat days, sounds, volume, vibration, theme and appearance)
• Audio files or a background photo you choose to add. They are copied inside the app and never uploaded

This data is deleted when you delete the app. It may be included in your device backups according to your iCloud or computer backup settings.

15.2 Location (Optional)

If you allow it, the app uses your location to calculate sunrise and sunset times, change the background between day and night, and wake you at the local sunrise time. These calculations run on your device. To show the name of your city, the coordinates are sent to Apple's map services (MapKit), under Apple's Privacy Policy. We never receive your location. You can deny or revoke access at any time in the iOS Settings.

15.3 Permissions

• Alarms (AlarmKit): schedules a backup alarm at your wake-up time that rings even if the app is closed or the phone is locked
• Location (optional): see 15.2
• Photos and files: the iOS pickers only give the app the photo or audio file you select

15.4 In-App Purchase

PRO is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment details or Apple ID; the app only checks with Apple whether PRO has been purchased. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own policies. "Remove Ads" and "Pro Discount" are not available on iOS.
